Material Selection For Disposable Wet Towel

Jan 24, 2026

The material selection of disposable napkin and wet towel should comprehensively consider factors such as water absorption, softness, strength, safety and environmental protection, and cost. The following are commonly used materials and their characteristics:
1. Non woven fabric (mainstream choice): Made from chemical fibers such as polyester and polypropylene through processes such as hot pressing and hydroentanglement, it is not a natural fiber.
Advantages: Strong water absorption, can quickly lock in moisture, soft texture, skin friendly, can add antibacterial ingredients, extend the shelf life of wet wipes. Low cost, suitable for large-scale production.
Disadvantages: Not easy to degrade, poor environmental friendliness (biodegradable non-woven fabric can be used to improve).
2. Natural fiber (high-end/environmentally friendly choice)
cotton fiber
Advantages: Natural softness, excellent water absorption, good biodegradability, suitable for sensitive skin.
Disadvantages: High cost, low strength in wet state.
Bamboo fiber:
Advantages: Natural antibacterial, biodegradable, good water absorption, outstanding environmental friendliness.
Disadvantages: Slightly high cost, average strength.
Suggestion for selection: If used in the catering industry, non-woven fabric materials can be chosen. If used for children, cotton or bamboo fiber materials can be selected.
